With Ivan and Mia having such a difference in Agility one of them attacks at the start of the battle and one of them will attack at the end of the battle. If played correctly the composition mentioned below basically can't die. I recommend this composition for anyone who is under leveled and has been primarily avoiding fights the entire game. Now this next team focuses primarily on survivability and not DPS. Ivan: Ranger (Single Target DPS and Buffs) This may put you at a disadvantage if you're lower level or playing with a weaker team. One thing to keep in mind too, with this composition you will ONLY have group heals available to you. ![]() ![]() If you've not avoided fights throughout the game and are higher level than usual by the final boss then this is the best team for you. This team is built for laying waste to enemies very quickly while still being efficient for the harder fights and longer dungeons. This team focuses on Isaac and Garet being your two primary damage dealers with Ivan acting as your Support (Buffs and seldom DPS) and Mia backing your entire team up with Heals. The first team I have mentioned is the one that I like to use the most after acquiring all the Djinni. ![]() She has all of the available Mercury Djinni which gives her single target and group heals which are absolutely essential. Finally, the second most important part of the above team is Mia. In the screen shot shown above Ivan is kind of in an inbetween build. He barely has any good Psyenergy available to him since I am still missing a few different Djinni for him. Ivan is currently the weakest person in this entire party. Garet is the secondary damage dealer, I chose a Barbarian for him since it gives him access to Planetary Driver which is a great single target damaging ability. Isaac is the primary damage dealer and he does a TON of damage at that level being a Ninja. The above picture is the team that I recommend for players that are around level 20. Water Seer (Mono-Elemental) Single Target DPS, Support and Heals Wind Seer (Mono-Elemental) Caster DPS and Support Hermit (Dual-Elemental) Caster DPS, Heals and Support Medium (Tri-Elemental) Single Target DPS & Debuffs Ranger (Tri-Elemental) Single Target DPS and Buffs White Mage (Tri-Elemental) Best Healing Class Guard (Mono-Elemental) Single/Minor AoE DPS and Support/Debuff Swordsman (Dual-Elemental) Single Target DPS, Heals & Support Squire (Mono-Elemental) Single Target/Minor AoE DPS and Support Samurai (Tri-Elemental) Single Target DPSīrute (Dual-Elemental) Single Target DPS and Support That's found further down and changes depending on what part of the game you're at. Keep in mind this part is just a list of the classes you CAN be and not a list (yet) of the best team compositions. This list will contain the best combinations for each character in the original Golden Sun game. With all of that out of the way, let's take a look at the main combinations that I recommend you use for your character's in Golden Sun. That's why you'll find all three games mentioned below. This guide was written for the original Golden Sun game but it still has useful information for all three games since the Djinni system works almost the same way between the three games. Isaac for example is a Venus adept which means that he will always have some innate Venus powers.įor quick reference here is a list of each playable character in all three of the Golden Sun games and the elemental type that they're given. This means that they will act as if they have some Djinn equipped of that elemental type - even if they don't. ![]() One important thing to mention too is that each character has their own default elemental type. For example, a Mono-Elemental class will have all Djinni of one type equipped to them, a Dual-Elemental will have two different types of Djinni. These three types make reference to how many different Djinn that character has equipped and the elemental type of those Djinn. There are a few different class archetypes that you can make with Djinn which you should know about, Mono-Elemental, Dual-Elemental and Tri-Elemental. Changing a character's Djinn will change what Psyenergy they have available, change their in game class and even (sometimes) improve your current Psyenergy. In Golden Sun one of the main ways to increase your character's effectiveness is by changing around their Djinn composition.
